Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

A very well written slice of life story, which I personally find very enjoyable as a way to really see what a character is going through. The story itself was heart breaking in many ways, and Adichie's characters provided an array of perspectives that was really interesting.
