Great writing. Great (and pointed/relevant/needed) topic. A fantastic cross between mystery thriller and critiques of social and criminal injustice for black Americans. Not a single moment where I zoned out or wasn't playing sleuth along with the main character while simultaneously giving a hard side-eye to the "you know, cause you're from that neighborhood" comments. And bonus, there is a series!
