The Spirit Glass by Roshani Chokshi
4.5
4.5/5 stars
There is pain in moving on, but it also has its own beauty.
Starting the year with this book had definitely opened a new perspective in me, and it is what I always loved in reading a book. To have something in me stirred, and leave me fulfilled with a certain pondering.
I must say, I found the first few parts of the book dragging, but it felt like a carefully cooked dish that takes its time, and leaves your tummy full, and your mouth fulfilled. Corazon and Saso's chemistry was beyond outstanding, they gave this book so much life and truthfulness that we sometimes need. Leo was also an amazingly written character that shows us how adventures can bring the joys in life.
The plot and writing was the highlight of this book. It tugged my heart, and felt so heartfelt. It was a beautifully written book, and as a Filipino, I feel a sense of pride in the vast mythology that have been shown and given justice by this book/
