Sommersgate House by Kristen Ashley

The audio edition is horrible. I was so looking forward to this series, which features a large cast of English characters. So why Ms. Ashley chose an American narrator that couldn't muster more than a cartoon accent is beyond my comprehension. And when she tries to do a male "voice" with the horrible accent...it's more than my ears can bear. To add insult to injury, the narrator stumbles (and errs) several times on pronouns (and this is in the one hour I tried to listen to). I get that this isn't a "money" series so maybe cut-rate was the way to go, but I happen to love this series, and I'm so disappointed I could cry. I bought the first three in the series on audio in a fit of glee. As I had already bought the ebooks, they were only $1.99 apiece. I promptly returned all three this morning. I won't eat the six bucks when I know I could never tolerate listening to them.
