The Owl Always Hunts at Night by Samuel Bjørk

4.0

When a teenager’s body is found naked in a bed of feathers, Holger Munch is called to the case. He realizes he’ll need the whole team to stop this killer before he strikes again. Munch calls back Mia, who is on leave and is still struggling with her mental health. The team receives a video of the dead girl and discover she was held captive like an animal. The team must fight through their personal issues to work together to solve this case.

While The Owl Always Hunts at Night might be more slowly paced than I’m Traveling Alone, I liked it just as much. The crime was sadistic and the clues left to solve it were interesting. While maybe a bit unbelievable in certain plot lines, this book was a read a couldn’t put down.

I think Munch’s team might be my favorite. They check each other’s arrogance. They stand up for one another. They can see the struggles of their peers. Gabriel is my favorite, the hacker with a heart. We must protect him at all costs
