Bad Art Mother by Edwina Preston

i mean... i guess this book was fine. no flaws so great i really wanted to stop reading but it was so heavy-handed on the message and a central perspective i just couldn't get behind. the best part was veda's letters which really felt like they should make up the bulk of the book because she's who it was actually supposed to be about, not her whinging son. or at least i think it was, not really sure if the book knew who it was supposed to be about either. still don't really understand why so much of it was in second person either (just to be quirky perhaps?). because of that, it just didn't have a central drive that could pull it together and the drive it did have was so straight-forward i was getting bored by the last hundred pages. but overall just fine.
