This was the most voyeuristic reading experience I have ever had. While I know Didion's estate decided to publish these notes, It feels like a total violation that they did so--and yet, I could not stop listening, ad it was riveting to get this glimpse into what a person's therapy sessions could include. I had no idea going in that this would primarily be about her alcoholic daughter.
