The Secret Diaries of Miss Miranda Cheever
by Julia Quinn
Gah! Julia can do no wrong! I absolutely loved this one! I loved the characters and their personalities and attitudes. I loved the premise! I loved the tropes and the characterization. Miranda was sweet and smart and funny and stubborn, and Turner was smart and strong and damaged and sexy. Their first meeting was so sweet and wholesome on her part and funny on his. Seeing how this man of 19 talked to and treated his little sister's friend, who was sad and insecure, made me fall in love with his character. I did dislike him for a little while toward the end when he wouldn't tell her he loved her because his actions and thoughts so clearly showed that he did, but that was all part of his growth. Just as her coming to accept his proposal was part of hers.
I can't wait to read the next one!
