This was a very thought provoking book that opened up the history of slavery and showed that even free men were never truly free.
I did struggle to make my way through this book due to the harrowing topic and language used. While I can't say that I enjoyed reading it, I did want to continue reading and was eager to see what happened next. This was my first book of this type and I will be looking out for more in the future.
