Save Me by Mona Kasten

It's possible I enjoyed this more than I would have if I haven't watched Maxton Hall. Of course I've seen the tv show, and loved it, and the show stays very true to the book, besides maybe 2-3 small details.

The writing is simple and easy, and gives off a little of a ya tone, without feeling juvenile (I hope that makes sense) but it's definitely not ya since there is some spice toward the end. There is just an ease to it that feels natural, and the pacing feels consistent. I also really liked how this is dual pov and first person. I wish there was more character development from the side characters, I'd love to see more of Lydia's story in the next book!

There is solid character development.
