Not gravitating toward mysteries/thrillers often, I picked this up on a whim of Icelandic preoccupation. The strong prose, interesting characters, and well crafted story make this a strong novel it its own right despite genre lines.
Ari Thor is a wonderful protagonist. Not without his faults, I found him to be a believable and interesting characters I can follow through multiple books as I look to continue on with Jónasson. I can't wait to pick up more titles in this series!
