I enjoyed the book. It felt a bit disorderly, especially in the beginning, as if the authors were just listing facts. But as it progressed it settled down. More than anything, I appreciated just how much information was in it that I was completely unaware of. My awareness of that time period is clearly lacking and I greatly appreciated the education.
