Another Catharina Maura book I absolutely devoured & loved it ♥︎

Pick it up if you want to read a romance book with all the firsts, jealousy, angst, grand gestures & yearning.

I think by this point I have to accept the fact I'm going to go mad for anything she writes. TBH, my expectations for this book were not as high as I used to have for the Windsor series. But this book knocked me off with the emotions & the characters. I literally stayed up the whole night to finish it and the entire time I had to muffle my screaming, stupid giggles & my crying. (Becoz everyone was sleeping :p)

Serenity was yearning for the head over heels love but unfortunately she was expecting it from the wrong person, her best friend. When he goes on to fall in love with her best friend, she makes a rational decision of making a to-do list to check off the things she has been putting off. & The best thing she did was write Archer's name in it.

Archer, was a dream. Literally a dream. Running a successful business with his partner & trying to overcome the trauma of losing someone; his life has been pretty much on hold except for his curiosity towards the muse. It's like his heart knew before him.

Serenity & Archer's relationship is one the best done relationship when it comes to hidden relationship tropes. They both had this undeniable chemistry, both physically & emotionally. Archer fell for her long before she did. He knew what she wanted. The way he was possessive of her just showed how much he has fallen for her.

Serenity knew the moment he had him that it was going to hurt when the arrangement would end. She was very careful to not fall for him & really was very considerate of the situation he was in. That just made me love her more. Even though she was hurting, she loved him enough to give him the blank canvas. But I loved the way Archer stood no matter what.

The last few chapters, omg! The emotions just got to me. I was in a hatered mode on Tyra, I had my doubts even with her story. But she ended up doing something that made me fall in love with her too.

Now I need the next book, whatever she writes ♥︎
