Fast Women by Jennifer Crusie

4.0

I know I read this one by Jennifer Cruise, years back, but recently rediscovered and reread.

I have a better understanding on how perspectives can change with age and experience. All three women here are dealing with different marital issues, yet due to their experience or lack thereof they all react and deal with their trauma in different, sometimes dangerous ways.

Nell seemed to be coming out of a depression when we meet her, to me I feel like she would have eventually pull herself out no matter what butt meeting Gabe really allowed her to flourish a lot better and faster. For Gabe, it took him a while longer to realize that his life was stagnant before Nell butt he ends up waking up in time to keep her. I like how in the end they both really heard each other and adjusted to make their relationship healthy.

& although Suze & Margie are secondary characters they are also dealing with issues many women deal with in marriage, including loss of identity, settling instead of fighting, & the question of whether to start over???

Loved the paths these ladies took, and when things got bad, they were there for each other supporting & even encouraging which only made me love them more.
