Writing Clementine by Kate Gordon

5.0

This book was so adorable on every single page. The best YA book I've read in a while, and by this I mean years. It deals with heavy topics but can ease it with humour while not bagatellising the topics themselves. Our protagonist is very strong, and she is like that while finding her first love. So yes, this is sort of a feminist book while being a YA romance as well. Nice balance. There are mistakes but Kate Gordon didn't need to make the protagonist suffer and go to hell to come back. I know that many people have a sort of hell at some points of their life, but everybody. And I'm so grateful she could grab this kind of teenage life. I reeeeally needed this. So thank you, Kate Gordon, for writing this and making me smile so much on public transport.
