Although I love epistolary novels and thought the structure of this one was unique, I was disappointed in the outcome.
It looked like it was building to something that would bring the two main characters together despite the 200 years separating them, but it never did which was a let down. In fact, there was no explanation as to why this guy from the 1820s met and fell for a girl with the same exact name as the girl from the 2020s, with the same features and personality. Huh?
Ultimately, this story is all about accepting the life and love in front of you instead of pining for what can't be and which might not even be what you would ultimately want. That being said, I loved the dust jacket.
