This book was absolutely devastating. I went in thinking it would center on the sister that is named on the title (Violet) but it went much much beyond her. I have to admit despite the depressing themes that were touched on throughout, the author wove everything together in a way that explained the actions of the characters without me being able to guess each big moment in the story line. I’ll be thinking about this book for awhile.
