The number of times this book made me react audibly in public (and privately, haha) is maybe a bit embarrassing, but simply uncontrollable. Don’t be misled by the title; the plot twists are anything but predictable. This book had me constantly reassessing my predictions, and by the end, my jaw was dropped and my heart was POUNDING. Holly Jackson truly outdid herself with this one, and I hope there is more to come. This fast-paced mystery thriller was difficult to put down and I finished it in just a few days. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a gripping page-turner… or anyone wanting to check if their nervous system and heart are intact!
