The Last Letter from Your Lover
by Jojo Moyes
If you can't tell, I'm on a slight Jojo Moyes kick ... I decided to try to read as many of her books as possible before my brain completely turns into mush for the remainder of the school year. Moyes, again, does a lovely job of interweaving narratives - the past with the present - to bring her reader full circle. Since I've now read so many of her books in succession, the plot was a bit predictable to me, but still entirely engrossing. I especially enjoyed the way she told Jennifer Stirling's story from start to finish. Moyes does an admirable job of creating complex, strong, fascinating female leads throughout her novels - and Jennifer Stirling shines as one of her brightest examples.
