After reading the Eden Express, I read the followup book. After several schizophrenic episodes in his early 20s, he recovers and decides to go to medical school. This book describes his last episode many years later, after he had become a doctor. I found his comments on the medical system (doctors, hospitals, insurance) quite interesting and spot on. He who pays has the power and it sure isn't the patients, despite most physicians desire to do good.
