Maids of Misfortune by M. Louisa Locke

5.0

This book was absolutely fantastic. There was nothing that I didn't enjoy about it. I loved Annie because she was such a strong woman especially given the time she was living in. Nate was adorably charming and awkward and I loved that he worried so much about Annie's safety. I didn't guess who did it right up until the very end. He was so in the background for most of the book that even when I guessed I thought no it can't be. This was a fantastic book although definitely on the heady side. My brain feels stuffy in shock after all that was revealed. I would recommend this book to anyone.
