This was one of those books that had a great premise and some good plot twists, but the writing felt a bit bland and clinical. In case you haven't read it: spoiler alert!!

I quite enjoyed this book up until the Adeline/Daniele plot twists. I thought the twist itself was really good, but the 19 year story line felt very boring... 'and then I did this, and then I did that...'
Yes, we know. We read it in the first part of the book. I appreciate the author tried to weave the mother into the storyline, but it didn't quite have the depth it could've had.

The ending felt a bit overdone for me. What was the point in saving all these people from different timelines? What was the reason/need for it. I didn't think it brought much to the story. Why save one person father from a plane that gets shot down and not everyone on the plane?

Also, why did the chapters about Sam in the dino period have to end with him being in some sort of peril? At least a handful of chapters ended with him being nearly a dino snack... and did every dinosaur or dino-crocodile really eat anything that walked past their nose?!? Don't think so.. they died of a meteor, not obesity....
