The Last of the Mohicans by James Fenimore Cooper
1.0

This book nearly ended in the "still unfinished" shelf - but I persevered. I constantly had to remind myself that it was written in the 1820's, however even taking the timeperiod into account, the stereotypes of women and Native Americans still seemed rather unenlightened. The characters were flat and generally uninteresting and the plot dragged on. It was a rough one to get through.
