The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood

5.0

For some reason, I listed this book as read in 2013 and gave two stars as a rating. I have no idea why, nor do I remember reading the book at all. I must have mistaken it for something else I read at the time, because it was not this. My read this time 'round knocked me over, hence the five stars. Gut-wrenching story, so well-written, it infuriated me at times, and made me also anxious about where our country is heading now. I especially appreciated the epilogue, which was so very different from the main story, but also provided an interesting perspective on it, and on history in general. A must-read, I think.
