Now What?: How to Move Forward When We're Divided by Sarah Stewart Holland, Beth Silvers
I have listened to these women for years and their follow-up book is everything I needed it to be and more. They remind us how to relate to each other and highlight the importance of living in a diverse society. They explain the importance of all kinds of government, from our city governments that control our sewage systems to the national government that makes laws for all citizens. They remind us that we are global citizens and that what happens on the other side of the planet can have a very real impact on us. And as always, they make me want to be a better person, a better mother, and a better citizen and give me the tools to do so. This book is a must-read for all Americans who want to know how to move forward together.
