Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth
5.0
I give this a 5-star rating though this book is quite decisive and polarizing according to the other reviews I read about it. I really enjoyed it! Maybe it is because I have not traversed through many horror books before this one but this book left a sticky sappy feeling in my gut as I finished it. What I loved most about the book was that it made me feel like I was in on a secret that no one else really knew. I think this is a testament to Danforth's writing style and how interesting and engaging it was with the reader. The book had really good reveals, some I anticipated and some I would have never seen coming! Regardless, I am left with many questions (which I am guessing is the goal).
I very much so enjoyed it, I tore through it and it managed to feel like a very engaging story throughout the entire book (which is very long).
