Rule of the Aurora King by Nisha J. Tuli
3.0
2.5-3. The beginning started off strong but it kind of went downhill from there. There were some good parts but overall it feels like not that much actually happens? Like it was long but it was mostly the FMC and MMC trying to do different things and failing and then almost getting together but then not. But at the same time some of it was good but I really couldn’t tell you which parts of why.
Sooo much internal monologue. I usually prefer more character driven books but honestly both characters were starting to get annoying. And the whiplash of saying one thing but then changing their mind but then changing their mind back and it’s like ok enough. Also inmate just simply cannot be the nickname he gives her. Like please.
The premise is interesting and I’ll probably read the next one but just overall meh. If I didn’t read it for free on KU I would have felt like it was probably a waste of money. Also the flashback chapters were the worst part.
