A nice little feel good story resplendent with colonists and orientalist tropes which one may embrace as "of the times".  I adores the "queer" little girl with her strength of character.
However, why aren't more people bothered by how creepy it is that
grown men should make their way into a child's room through the skylight under the darkness of night?
