This was a harrowing thrill ride, and gave me winter vibes without the holidays, which I rather enjoyed after all my holiday books. There were a few moments of coziness, but it's mostly just fighting against the elements and wild animals of Alaska. It keeps the reader on tenterhooks right up to the 99% mark, with a tiny epilogue of respite. Luckily, I found the holiday novella and am reading that right now. Content warning for detailed descriptions of past torture.
