Fleabag: The Scriptures by Phoebe Waller-Bridge

dark emotional funny fast-paced

4.0

When I picked up the book I was already interested, the format of it was just so intriguing to the point it inspired me to want to create my own script.
The book itself is very interesting and is leading me to want to watch the show (…which will be in a month or so as I am horrible with sitting myself down to make accurate plans).
It does include quite a bit of cursing and majorly inappropriate themes, crude jokes, dark topics at times. I personally will read anything as long as it keeps my attention and is well written (ie, not romanticised, dramatised, etc). If it is authentic and the reactions are human I will consume consume consumeee! And this book is a fine example. I don’t agree with a ton and I made faces at a lot but goodness it was brilliant.

I say this a lot: ‘If I could marry blank (-usually an item I am obsessed with/love), I would.’ And I would never say that about this book. I love it, but I feel I would throw the book (in its personified version) out the window immediately.
