Fire in the Blood by Irène Némirovsky

3.0

The wonderfully translated prose is in keeping with Nemirovsky's superb style. She should always be read aloud.

I really liked the first half of this book, the way it was built up, only to be a bit disappointed with the denouement. However, I was charmed back into liking it with the last line.

Easily read in an autumn evening.
