I like Donna Cooner’s books, and this one was no exception. It’s easy to read and has great modern-day lessons about bullying, judging others, and pretending to be someone else online. I did not give this book four stars—my average rating unless a book blows my socks off—because parts of the story played out too perfectly to enhance the conflict. These scenes made the story seem more unlikely and less realistic to me. But, in the iconic words of LeVar Burton, “Don’t take my word for it.”
