Immortal Cells by Tyrolin Puxty
fast-paced
5.0
Malin's only crime is existing.
As an Immortal, Malin has been hunted for centuries, and she's avoided capture, until one day a selfless acts ends with her getting caught.
It lands her in the Immortal Cells, a prison sentence that is a fate worse than death. Since an Immortal can't die, they are forced to endure torture, being fed poison and being drained of blood for eternity.
But then, the impossible happens, an Immortal dies.
With more questions than answers, Malin is forced to navigate life in the prison and come face to face with her destiny.
There's a lot happening in this book and I loved every minute of it. It all plays into the outcome, there's nothing that seems like it's pointless. Just when you think you have it figured out and know who can be trusted or what is going to happen next, you are wrong.
There's a lot of gore and even cannibalism. The suspense has you turning the pages late into the night. I couldn't stop reading this and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one. Certainly one I would read again.
