This is truly a solid 3.75 stars for me. Though I would usually rate anything by L. M. Montgomery 5 stars, I had some trouble getting through the first part of this book. Though I love Anne and Gil, this book felt just so lonely to me with Anna and Gil living seemingly alone and away from the world and dear old friends. At some points I couldn’t stand it! Other than 3 interesting characters, there really is no more than 5 people the first part of the book, and personally, this bothered my soul to no end. However, the Beautiful writing and satisfying ending made me happy I had read the book.
