Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
by Yuval Noah Harari
informative
reflective
slow-paced
Probably accurately depicted the world as of 2014, and I would be interested in an updated version based on recent current events and how they’ve shaped human civilization. Author concludes that we’ve reached an era of international peace (aka limited full scale invasions of already governed territory) but the past few years have shown that that’s not all that true. Does he still agree with the ending of this book? Especially with the current Israel-Palestine-Iran conflicts? I’m curious about the other books in the series and how his background influences his writing on current events.
