This book is so authentic. From discussing unhealthy coping mechanisms, trauma, false reflections of the past, searching for hope, finding the silver lining during times of healing in life, and a cute romance. This book tackles so many topics in a way that is genuine, real, and can help readers see themselves in Eleanor. The growth of characters through healing from the past, understanding their sexuality, and finding healthy balance in life was just so well written. I went into this book not knowing or expecting much and came out completely satisfied. It depicts reality in an honest way and having a romance that has some conflict as well as doesn’t go beyond sweet beginnings of a relationship helped make it not feel forced. This story is one I would recommend especially if you need a little hope and reminder that your past does not define you and you can choose how your story goes. Also the illustrations of the tarot cards were adorable and just something I love to see in books as an artist. Overall this book was amazing and helped me feel like I got my mental reset I need before exams.
