Falling for the Backup by Toni Aleo

4.0

Jordan Ryan used to be the goalie until an injury kept him off the ice. Now he needs to find another team, because Tate isn't going anywhere. Jordan is dedicated to his search until he meets Aynslee Shaw on a plane. Afraid of the distraction, he flees leaving her wondering what happened. I found myself cheering him on in his search for a new team, and his romancing of Aynslee. Of course then I wanted to slap him because he wasn't thinking. That thought illustrates how believable the characters are because of Toni's magic pen. I can immerse myself in her books because they feel so real. Her books are a great escape. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
