So historic fiction mixed with biography seems like an interesting idea. This is the second book in a week that had that same basic theme. Here you also throw in legal drama, which is an interesting twist. I think what I didn't like was the use of modern language and knowing that some of the phrases would never have been said in ancient Rome. What I did like was the ancient Rome aspects and the general idea of the book. I might wait on reading the follow-ups in the trilogy. Harris writes a good book, but I don't know that it's a great book or an intriguing series for me.
