The Last Wish by Andrzej Sapkowski

medium-paced

3.0

My first book of 2020 and it started off amazing and then, it got... weird.
It was confusing and somewhat rushed and kind of random, at times. At least it was for me.

The first three short stories were super fun and intriguing! They left me with many questions, but that was to be expected from the books that's starting the journey into a fantasy world. Each short story was a clever introduction to the different creatures of the world and Geralt's life.

The last two, however, confused me greatly. Often I couldn't understand what was happening, or it felt too rushed. I'm hoping to come back to these stories again once I've read further into the series and have a better grasp of the world and the characters.

For now, I think I'll take a break from the book series to finally watch the show!
