This book is sweet for what is mostly a murder mystery novel with heavy horror overtones. Diversity of sexual preferences is high, but racial diversity is low. If you liked Everina Maxwell's Winter's Orbit or Foz Meadows' Tithenai Chronicles, you'll probably enjoy this one.
Graphic: Confinement
Moderate: Emotional abuse, Misogyny, Sexism, Toxic relationship, Murder, Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Ableism, Abandonment, Alcohol, Classism
The toxic relationship is between parent and child, not a romantic relationship.
