A Bright Ray of Darkness by Ethan Hawke

4.0

Some surface level stuff aside, I think this book is really well written and the use of Broadway as an allegory of “living in the moment” even when life doesn’t turn out the way you expected them to, is kind of beautiful. I feel like I took a lot of great conversions out of this book and most of the time was so captivated by the characters chaotic journey to self acceptance. I hate Ethan for being so talented.
