Believe Me by Tahereh Mafi

“I didn’t understand then that a home is not always a place. Sometimes, it’s a person.”

As the final installment in the series, I was eager to see how Tahereh wrapped the series up, and honestly I have mixed feelings about the ending. After all that they went through, the ending felt rushed and I was yearning for more. It was sweet seeing Ella plan everything for Warner, and him realizing how many friends he has in his corner. Kenji being such a sweetie and talking Warner through his panic attack at the altar. 😮‍💨 but to not GIVE US THE WEDDING?? or the VOWS? That’s a crime and i’m sour about that. Alas, still a sweet ending to the series, it was quite a journey!

“‘I am nothing’ I say to her. ‘If I manage to be anything, it is only because of you.’”

“I would happily watch the world go up in flames if anything happened to her, and if that’s not enough for you, you can go to hell.”

“‘Believe me,’ I whisper. ‘I do.’”
