Nine Women, One Dress by Jane L. Rosen

3.0

The story revolves around one dress that ends up being THE dress of the season and how it affects nine different women. From affairs and new relationships all the way to the morgue!
I enjoyed this book and it was interesting to see how some of these women became linked. It reminded me of Love, Actually but for fashion! My two favorite stories were about Natalie/Jeremy and Arthur/Felicia and they had the most heart in the book. My one complaint (and why it's not four stars) is that some of the big climactic scenes for our heroines seems rushed and could use more detail. One or two story lines popped up out of nowhere and then didn't really seem to go anywhere. While many of the women intertwined with each other because of this dress, a couple only had a connection to the dress and that made them less interesting. There were a few pathetic characters and the author wrote them well. Each character had their own personality and they weren't just two-dimensional. It was funny and charming and, at times, a little heartbreaking for all the right reasons.
It's a pleasant read and I would have kept on reading if the author made it longer. Solid 3 stars.
