Easily one of the best books I've ever read. After Cleopatra and Frankenstein I had to know what Coco Mellors would come up with next and she did not disappoint. I hope to read more from her in the future. Her characters feel so real and human. I love this sort of fiction where you really get to know each character, their childhood and trauma and flaws and personality quirks. I loved the sisters in this book, how they had four separate and yet interconnected lives and how they influenced each other, how they fought and supported each other. It makes me long for siblings of my own but I don't have any. I could still relate to the characters in different ways though. I like the portrayal of addiction, how it ran in the family but everyone had different experiences with it. I liked how boxing was described as a sport. I liked how Avery and Chiti's relationship was described. The ending was satisfying and beautiful, and the book had the perfect length. I'll definitely reread this in the future!
