She's Just Not That Into You: The Fab Femme's Guide to Queer Love and Dating by Aryka Randall

3.0

I got the audiobook, and the narrator was really expressionless. So that wasn't great. Also, it had incredibly incredibly cringy parts, including the author's insistence on using the phrase "lady love" to describe someone's hypothetical sapphic partner.

But, despite all this it gets 3 stars from me, because although I'm sure a lot of this advice is pretty common, there were some pretty useful bits. An interesting psychological analysis of u-haul lesbians for instance. It might also be to do with the fact that I generally hate dating books, and thus haven't read any others to compare it with.

All that being said, I am sure Aryka could have zhuzhed it up a bit. I'm sure there's a way that she could have spun this piece of writing so that it was a bit funnier, with a bit more personality. It was, on the dry side.
