I love a sassy, strong FMC and holy smoke did Ruby meet the challenge. The banter was fantastic and she put her ex-mafia man in his place like a queen. It was a pleasure to behold.
Axel was peak dark book boyfriend material. Stalkery, possessive and protective with some impressive touch her and ☠️ moments.
I went into this one not having read the first in the series so I’m keen to go back and read that one now. I felt like I missed sons context, but it didn’t impact my enjoyment at all.
The dynamic between the brothers was fun and interesting and the spice was excellent.
Really looking forward to the rest of the series to see how it keeps playing out.
