The Maze Cutter has a lot of potential, but I never felt like it fully took off. There were many aspects left unaddressed or underexplained, even for a first book in a series. The vagueness in the story detracted from both character development and world-building. I’m still interested and plan to read the sequel, but I hope the next installment offers more detail.
