I really enjoyed reading The Great Gatsby. Having watched the film a few years ago, I had not understood how big of a love story this is between Gatsby and Daisy until reading about it, and how tragic it really is.
At times the language was difficult, but I liked the subtle writing cues where things are not directly said, but said nevertheless in the characters actions and movements which reveal their internal words.
The story is fast paced and captivating, and focuses a lot on illusions and false appearances that seem perfect on the surface, but reveal a darker truth underneath.
