Such a cool concept for a book, but the form that sets it apart is what limits it. The notes are too shallow to reveal much about the relationship between mother and daughter, which means that an overly dramatic (cliched?) plot line needs to be established to get any emotional response from the reader. The form has such potential to ease out all the little nuances of a small beautiful daily love - like the famous William Carlos Williams’ icebox poem quoted at the start. I hope someone else gives this style another shot.
