I listen to this on Audible Plus, and first of all, the narrators did such a great job of a southern accent. I do feel like the audio helped this book to a 3-star rating. The beginning you see Griffin is really struggling after his young son was killed in a drive-by. He is a Texas ranger and uses all his co facts to find the killer. He is divorced, and his ex-wife is married again, and he believes he is in on what happened. He is stationed in a different town and finds the motorcycle club that are all made up of law enforcement that have all lost someone to them. I loved that. Lenore is a sex shop owner very heat to her own drum. In a small town , she meets Griffin when he needs batteries and sells him a vibrator. I loved her, and they way she was a spitfire and loyal. This is where the story started to go wrong for me they do it very quickly, and he contiues to pull her in and let her go. She stayed true even when something really bad happens due to him she till wants him and he dissapears. So that part really was annoying and not believable. But he was a martyr, and I guess why he did the things he did. Hot sex very fast-paced book, and suspenseful.
